Martha is talking to Nick about about her relationship with George. She says that she loved him, but that now their relationship is sad. George shows up at the door with flowers, then he decides that they are going to play one more game: "bringing up baby." Everyone comes into the room, including Honey who is still very drunk. George and Martha do through the details of their son's birth and childhood. Martha gets angry when George brings up that their child actually hated her. George then announced that someone came by to tell them that their son had died in a car crash when he swerved to miss a porcupine. Martha tells George that he can't decide these things. Nick then catches on that their son is an invention. George tells Martha that since she told someone else about their son that he had to kill him.
Nick and Honey finally go home, and after more debate between George and Martha, George sings "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" one more time, and Martha responds, "I am."
